Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using the Holladay Residents Directory reference and its links to public custodians.

1. What This Reference Is

Holladay Residents Directory is a privately operated reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections for Holladay, Utah. It has no affiliation with Holladay, Salt Lake County, Utah courts, libraries, archives, or any records custodian. It hosts no government record.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the pages for lawful personal research, family history, reconnecting, property curiosity, civic understanding, or correction of your own records. Do not stalk, harass, threaten, impersonate, scrape protected information, or use a public detail to harm anyone. Follow each linked custodian’s terms and rate limits.

3. Consumer Reports

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information is not assembled or supplied as a consumer report, and it must not be used for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose. An ordinary people lookup is not an FCRA-compliant report.

4. Outside Links

Links lead to third-party government, court, library, archive, and service pages. Their content, availability, fees, privacy practices, and terms are controlled by those parties. A link is a pointer, not an endorsement or a guarantee of a result.

5. Information Limits

Records can be old, incomplete, delayed, misindexed, or restricted. A parcel owner is not every occupant, a voter result is not a household census, and a historical directory line is not current residence proof. Verify with the custodian before relying on a record.

6. Liability Limits

To the extent allowed by law, the publisher is not liable for loss or harm arising from a search result, an outside link, an interruption, an error, or a decision made from reference material. Official custodians control the original record and any correction process.

7. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for lawful use, protecting sensitive information, checking dates, and complying with a linked office’s rules. You are also responsible for obtaining consent when a separate law or service requires it.

8. Copyright and Marks

Page text and layout belong to the publisher unless another owner is identified. Official names, seals, records, photographs, and linked materials remain with their respective owners. Do not copy a complete page or imply official sponsorship.

9. Changes

Pages, links, descriptions, and these terms may change as custodians update forms or portals. Continued use after a change means the revised terms apply to future use.

10. Ending Access

The publisher may limit or end access for abuse, attacks, unlawful use, excessive automated requests, or conduct that threatens the service or other visitors. Ending access does not alter a government custodian’s records or legal duties.

11. Utah Law

These terms are governed by Utah law. Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act, Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2, governs qualifying requests to Utah custodians, not the publisher’s private reference pages. The Utah Consumer Privacy Act appears in Title 13, Chapter 61 and includes exemptions and thresholds.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to the extent allowed. A failure to enforce one provision is not a waiver of another provision.

13. Questions

Use the Contact Us page for questions about the private reference. Questions about a deed, parcel, voter record, case, vital certificate, planning file, or archive item belong with the office named on the relevant page.
