What a Holladay Resident Lookup Covers
A name can appear in many public systems, but each system records a different event or relationship. The table is the starting map for a careful resident lookup. It distinguishes a property owner from a voter, a court party from an heir, and a historical directory entry from a current address.
| Record | What it confirms | Where | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assessor parcel | Owner of record, situs and mailing clues | Salt Lake County Assessor | Free search; counter or GRAMA |
| Recorder deed | Grantor/grantee role, date, legal description | County Recorder | Public index; copy or image route |
| Voter search | Status tied to supplied address and fields | Vote Utah | Individual form; privacy limits |
| Court case | Party, role, court, case number, public history | Utah Courts Xchange | Paid account; exclusions |
| Vital record | Birth, death, marriage, or divorce event | OVRS and Archives | Eligibility and age rules |
| Probate | Heirs, representative, estate, property leads | District court and Archives | Public portions only |
| Business or license | Principal, agent, city, profession, status | Commerce or DOPL | Public search |
No single row in the table identifies everyone physically present at a home. Use the smallest record set that answers the question, then stop when the evidence is enough.
Define a Holladay Resident Lookup
Write down the full name, approximate age or year, one known address or street, and the allowed personal purpose before searching. A married or maiden surname, middle initial, suffix, diacritic, trust, corporation, or DBA may change the result. A name plus city is weak. A name plus the same address, age, spouse, parcel, case number, or family link is stronger.
- Start with a low-risk anchor such as an assessor parcel, supplied voter address, business filing, or dated directory.
- Save the exact spelling, source URL, search date, and address type: situs, mailing, physical, or registered agent.
- Test name order, initials, married or maiden forms, and partial searches only where the portal allows them.
- Compare two independent fields before calling a match the same person.
- Ask the custodian to correct or explain a record when the result affects a real decision.
This discipline keeps unrelated records from becoming a dossier built from partial matches.
Search Holladay Names in Xchange
Utah Courts Xchange is the statewide public case layer for Holladay Justice Court and Salt Lake County district matters. Its search controls include jurisdiction, search type, case number, last name or company, first name, case type, court scope, birth date when present, citation number and location, and a date range. The name search is most useful after narrowing the county, court, or case type.
| Result field | Use in a resident lookup |
|---|---|
| Court and county | Shows where the case sits, not where a person lives. |
| Case number and type | Stable identifiers for a clerk request. |
| Filing and event dates | Places the party relationship in time. |
| Party code | Distinguishes plaintiff, defendant, petitioner, respondent, and other roles. |
| History and documents | Shows public events, dispositions, and available electronic filings. |
Guest access is listed at $10, searches at $0.20, and documents at $1. Results stop at 500. Sealed, juvenile, expunged, adoption, and other private cases are excluded. Salt Lake City district cases are generally complete after the December 8, 1997 CORIS connection, but older or different justice-court records can be incomplete.
The Salt Lake County Sheriff prisoner-search page is the official routing point for current county custody information.
The Utah Courts Xchange entry page is the official route to the public case search.
Read a Holladay Court Result
A typical public result can show county, court location, case type, case number, filing date, first and last party name, party code, case history, and a filed address when one was entered. Criminal records may show charges, pleas, and dispositions. Public district documents filed electronically since July 1, 2010 can appear when available. A document purchase is not the same as access to every part of a case file.
- Docket
- The court’s running list of case events and filings.
- Disposition
- The outcome or status entered for a charge or case event.
- Index
- A pointer to a record, not necessarily the full image or file.
- Certified copy
- A copy issued by the custodian with formal certification, when available.
Use the case number, court, and filing date to request the official file. The Utah court request form asks what is requested, whether inspection or copies are wanted, fee-waiver reason, entitlement for nonpublic material, expedited treatment, and requester contact information. The clerk, not a search result, is the record keeper.
Holladay Voter Status Check
Vote Utah’s individual lookup displays first name, last name, date of birth, street address, city, and ZIP. It is a status check for supplied information, not a street-wide browse. Public fields can include name, physical and mailing address, year of birth, party affiliation, vote history, districts, status, voter ID number, and update date under the 2026 transition. Full DOB, driver-license or state-ID number, and SSN remain protected.
An At-Risk registration is unavailable to the public. Former Private or Withheld categories may not continue automatically, and the county says qualifying voters must request current protection. A missing result can reflect privacy, status, spelling, or an address mismatch. It does not establish that a person never lived in Holladay.
Holladay Vital Record Lookup
Utah OVRS maintains statewide birth, death, marriage, divorce, fetal-death, and related records. Current restricted records require a direct, tangible, legitimate interest under Utah Code §26B-8-125, such as immediate family, guardian, legal representative, a personal or property right, approved research, government purpose, or court order. Birth records become public after 100 years, death after 50, and other covered vital records after 75 years, with the statutory fee.
Salt Lake County Archives supplies older searches for births from 1890 to 1911, deaths from 1847 to 1949, and marriage licenses from 1887 to 1904. OVRS marriage and divorce requests inspected for this project describe 1978 to 2010 coverage, limited later marriage records, an $18 search with one certified copy, $10 additional copies, and optional $15 expedited processing. A divorce certificate is not the full district-court decree.
The Utah Office of Vital Records explains records, forms, and ordering routes.
Holladay Probate for Heirs
When a death index or obituary ends a name trail, probate may connect the decedent with a personal representative, heirs, attorneys, addresses, and property. Search the public case summary in Xchange, then ask the district clerk or County Archives for the public appointment, order, or estate filing. Private and sealed information can be withheld, and a probate relationship is not proof of a current address.
The county’s historic court series includes 1858 to 1892 minute books and related probate material. An obituary can supply a family lead, but the death certificate and probate file have different custodians and access rules. Keep those functions separate in a resident lookup.
Holladay Business Name Check
For a person linked to a Holladay shop or practice, search Utah Commerce by entity or principal, then use DOPL license verification when the work is regulated. Results can show an entity, DBA, principal, registered agent, profession, city, license number, and status. Holladay business-license applications add location, opening date, property owner or management, parcel, zone, and owner or officer fields.
The Utah DOPL license lookup provides the public license-search route.
These records establish a public business association. A registered agent or business address is not a home address. The January 2025 Holladay new-business list is a dated snapshot, so confirm current status with the city or Commerce.
When the Holladay Trail Ends
Use Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act when the needed public record is not online. A GRAMA request should name the custodian, person or parcel, record type, and date range. State guidance lists portal, email, fax, mail, and in-person delivery; normal response time is up to 10 business days and fees may recover actual cost under Title 63G, Chapter 2.
Correct the source rather than asking a private reference to explain it. The Assessor handles parcel data, the Recorder handles recording and index questions, the court clerk handles case records, elections handles status and privacy, and OVRS handles vital-record eligibility.
Holladay Resident Lookup Limits
Public records identify recorded relationships, not every person at an address. Utilities and DMV customer addresses are not public resident lists. Court, vital, voter, and adoption records have special exclusions. Utah Safe at Home provides a substitute address for qualifying safety-threat participants, and Utah Code §76-5-106.5 addresses stalking through a knowing or reckless course of conduct that causes fear or distress.
Lawful personal use. Use a Holladay resident lookup for family history, reconnecting, heir research, civic records, or correcting your own information. Do not use records to stalk, harass, intimidate, or harm anyone.
Stop when the allowed question is answered. If someone is in immediate danger, contact law enforcement. For record corrections or access questions, use the official custodian rather than publishing a person’s private identifiers.
